At South Jersey Center, we apply the latest technological advancements in the treatment of your orthopedic condition. We recommend surgery only after non-surgical techniques have proven insufficient for full recovery, and if surgery is required, we utilize state-of-the-art surgical techniques and technology. We offer specialty trained surgeons in arthroscopic joint reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery including total and partial joint replacements, treatment for spinal disorders and fractures, treatment of the hand and wrist, as well as foot and ankle disorders. Following surgery, we may employ our physical therapy department which specializes in orthopedic injuries to aid in your speedy recovery.

History

The South Jersey Center was founded in 1990 by Dr. Joseph Bernardini. Dr. Bernardini has been in private practice as an orthopedic surgeon since 1979, and was born and raised in the Vineland area. In 1996, Dr Seth Silver joined Dr. Bernardini in practice. Prior to their partnership, Dr. Silver served in the United States Army as an orthopedic surgeon and has since been a member of the community since his service. Dr. Brad Bernardini, son of the founding father of the group, later joined the practice. Prior to his return, Dr. Brad completed a sports Medicine Fellowship and now focuses his practice on arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery.   

Because of the high demand from employers and insurance carriers seeking medical services from the South Jersey Center, in 2001, Dr. Bernardini and Dr. Silver established a subsidiary to the center, known as Advantage Occupational Medicine. Advantage's focus is to provide local employers with quick access to orthopedic care for employee's injuries in addition to providing all of the traditional services of an occupational medicine practice, such as physical examinations and drug and alcohol testing. Advantage currently provides an unsurpassable level of care and customer service to more than 200 local businesses, both small and large.

In August of 2006, South Jersey Center moved its main office location to a brand new 13,000 sq. ft. facility located at 994 West Sherman Avenue in Vineland, NJ. This location offers a bright, spacious, and technologically advanced setting from which to practice, and offers a modern and comfortable experience for our patients. Our new location also allows easy access to Route 55, exit 29, as well as the South Jersey Regional Medical Center, both located only 2 blocks from the Center. 

The most recent addition to our state of the art facility has been the South Jersey Center Physical Therapy Department. This 3000 sq. ft. branch opened its doors to patients in 2007. Our 2 full time therapists, Brian Homan and Michael Donnelly, specialize exclusively in the treatment of orthopedic conditions.This affords our patients the highest level of expertise available for their musculoskeletal condition.
